    Just some friends of mine.

    Haven't heard back from Marika.

I do have some news though.

I still can't bring the military fare passengers into the group
as far as getting amenities, but it looks like the past passenger rate will apply to groups now. The down side is the fare will go up $48 per person, but you will get a $100 per cabin OBC and champagne and chocolates and a 1 hour cocktail party on the ship. I will also be giving everyone in the group booking a share of the free berth(s) that we will get when the group is finalized. This of course will depend on the number and category of the cabins booked in the group. This will probably be at least $60 per cabin and might be higher as long as we maintain minimum group requirements.

Pricing for this cruise begins at $450 per person for an inside cat. 4A, $580 for outside category 6A and $650 for balcony category 8A. Port charges, taxes and fees are $216.13 per person additional. Upgrades are available at additional cost.

3rd and 4th rates begin at $120 inside, $150 outside and $180 balcony. Port charges, taxes and fees are an additional $216.13.

    service qualify.

    Rates are:

    Inside 4A $364, Outside 6A $455, Balcony 8A $525
Port charges, taxes and fees of $216.13 are additional.

So with being a past guest and also the onboard credit it might be worthwhile instead of the military rate. That is unless the military rate goes down at all.

What the bottom line is that past passengers receive up to a 5 category upgrade at no charge. The military fare would still be a substantial savings even considering the upgrade, OBC, amenities and share of the free berth.

Just for example a past passenger would get the rate of $698 for an 8A category cabin up through an 8F. They would also get the $50 per person OBC, champagne and chocolates and the 1 hour cocktail party. The military fare for an 8A would be $525 and an 8F at $588.
So an 8F cabin would cost the past passenger $110 more per person, less the $50 OBC and approximately $30-$40 share of the free berth. The military fare would still be cheaper by $20-$30 per person, but the past guest would get the cocktail party and champagne and chocolates. The difference at the 8A balcony category would be $83 or more, certainly more than the value of the amenities.

I will compare pricing and will book everyone at the lowest fare possible.

If that was all, it would be a push. The cocktail party, champagne and chocolates
would be an additional amenity as would the share of the free berth.

Initial deposit is due April 14th for $25 per person, full deposit due June 9th for a total of $300 per person. This is for a category assignment.

If you wish to book a specific cabin the full $300 per person deposit would be
    due within 48 hours.

Wow, when is this cruise? I'm having withdrawals!!!!! I haven't been on a cruise sense Oct. We are going on one in May but that is soooooo faaaaaarrrr away. I can't wait to meet with all our on line friends again and let the good times roll. Maggie and I are doing the early dinner so we can join Ziggie and Jim. I am looking forward to getting to know Jim better.

Did the St Pat's day parade with the Shrine today and had a great time. As I was the only one in my motorized unit who could make the parade I was able to ride in our 1937 model Firetruck which was pulling a Calliope (sp) playing all kinds of circus music. At any rate I had a great time but it ant no cruise.
    HERMON :

We have fun so children may walk. Help support the Shrine Hospitals. The Children thank you.
