Just booked the Sensation any idea or thoughts on this ship?

We just booked the Sensation and I am so excited. I know nothing about this ship besides it is one of the oldest ships that Carnival has now on the East Coast and it has been refurbished. I was hoping someone could tell me more about the ship.

Thanks Janice. It is not looking very hopeful right now.

You cruise tomorrow. Have a blast.

We were on it back in November 2004 when it was pretty new. Don't know what I can really say other than it looked like a Carnival ship. The one thing I can remember is that it turned out to have a big size group onboard for a world tourney of bingo. That was a major negative, but has nothing to do with the actual ship.

We were on her but it was back in 96 so I'm sure alot has changed. Only thing I remember is wear your sunglasses inside, because it was bright. On a plus side that was the ship we were bumped from a Cat 9 to a Cat 12. Actually that was a GREAT BIG PLUS.

    Hi jsme,
I have been on her in 2006 & 2007. Also booked again in August. One of my favorite classes, not to big or small. Lots of purple ! Easy to get around on. All of the activity decks are grouped above the Empress deck, which is where I always stay. One of the things I like best is the open air dining tables at the very back of the Lido deck.

    Loved it!
It's an older ship, but I do love that class of ships.
It was a fun cruise, back in about 2002.
I'm sure you'll love it too.
Can't go wrong with a Carnival Cruise.

We changed our reservations from August to May. We now cruise in 5 days.

I have not told DH or DD that the ship is purple. BUT I have read a lot about that. I have also seen some pictures of the purple ship. My DD will be in heaven. She loves purple.

Selena, I haven't been on this ship, but I can give you some info on it.
It is a Fantasy Class ship which entered service new in 1993, it's 70,367 tons, carries 2,052 passengers based on two guests per cabin. It is 855 ft long, has 1,026 staterooms, 54 of which have private balconies. There are 10 passenger decks and 920 crew members. It is a large ship.
Click on the link below for info. on Carnivals' website about this ship.

    Carnival Cruise Lines

There are 8 ships in this class, and they are very popular with Carnivals' guests. Lots of people love these ships and they always sail full. Carnivals' oldest ships are the Holiday(1985) and Celebration(1987).
