Do.. Go with a good attitude, as everything never goes perfect, or as you'd like them..
Do.. Learn to roll with the punches, if your going to get upset, make it over something worthwhile..
Don't.. Do to others, what you wouldn't like them to do to you..
    Do.. Have a Great Cruise....

Sensation is a great ship. Easy to get around and have a good time on. I sailed on Sensation when it first moved to New Orleans & had a blast.

Are you going on the 5 day cruise to Cozumel & Costa Maya?
Be who you are & say what you mean because those that mind don't matter...& those that matter don't mind.

My wife and I cruise on the Sensation last November. The ship just went to Cozumel.
But we also went on the Ecstasy out of Galveston to Cozumel and Calica this past April. Calica is the name of the port all but 50 feet along the water from Playa Del Carmen.

The Sensation like the Ecstasy are nice ships. There is plenty to do on board. There are multiple dance clubs, bars, shows. The food and choices are really pretty good.

The weather along the trip between here and Cozumel is usually pretty good, as they try and go around any weather fronts. So lots of sun and fun.

If there's anything specific you like to do on board, I could probably pick it out of the daily schedules which we kept.

    Excursions:
In Cozumel, we have done everything from Swimming with Dolphins, going on a catamaran to go snorkling, walking along the strip and going bar hoping, going to a beach break where you get food and drinks and just lounge on a beach. Most of the ports in Cozumel (and I'm pretty sure they haven't changed which ones they dock at) are a distance from town, but have 40 or more shops and two or more restaurants/bars right there at the dock. There are probably 10 or so docks total. Downtown has the more famous bars and eateries (Carlos and Charlies, Senior Frogs - there is also a Senior Frogs at one of the docks). Swimming with the dolphins is a lot of fun, but pretty expensive. Not everyone in your group has to do that. The others could just go to the Dolphin Cove park for about $10, and the park has some shows like a SeaWorld. But you could go there and use their beaches afterwards.
On the other side, you could catch a cab to one of the many beaches and for a $5 entrance fee you can spend time on a beach with bars and food. This beach is the same one that the cruise line offers in a all-you-can-drink Beach Break for $50/person. So again not everyone has to pay the same amount.

When we went to Calica we went on the Ecstasy and went on a Mayan Ruins tour. (Not the one to Tulum.) The one we went on allowed our kids and us to actually climb the ruins which was a lot of fun. We had heard that the Tulum ruins have become so commercialized that you can't climb them.
We found that while our boat claimed to be going to Calica, that the destination of Playa Del Carmen is just the name of the next beach over. Playa means Beach. The name of the complex is XCaret. Now before I went there I thought XCaret was a city like Cancun and Playa Del Carmen was a city like Cancun. But what I found was that XCaret is more like the name of a hotel complex. And the beaches name that XCaret is on is Playa Del Carmen. Now I could be wrong, but next time I go, I plan on taking a Taxi over to XCaret and paying their $5 entrance fee and just enjoying their beach.
Cancun is at least an hour's drive from the port of Calica (and therefore Playa Del Carmen) so it was pretty much out of the picture for us.

    Hope this helps.

I doing a girls' trip on the Sensation in October. I just want to do a little snorkeling and then find a local cantina to eat lobster and drink cold Carona. Any suggestions?
