If you are sailing out of Port Canaveral today, and haven't arrived at the port yet, LEAVE EARLY.

Once again, there are road closures in the area due to the brush fires. The following roads are closed at this moment:

• The Beachline (528) is closed between I-95 and 520.
• I-95 is closed from 50 (Titusville) to 528, 'numerous crashes' reported
• 407 is closed between I-95 and the Beachline
• Additional closures could occur, or these roads may re-open when conditions permit, but traffic may be congested for a time after they re-open.

NOTE THAT I-95 and 528 ARE THE MOST FREQUENTLY USED MAIN ARTERIES TO GET TO THE PORT.

THE I-95 CLOSING HAS BEEN EXPANDED Northward to S.R. 46 (at Mims) and Southward to Fiske Blvd (Rockledge.)

This is perhaps a little over 20 miles of I-95 involved in the shutdown.

Port Canaveral is open and operations are normal.

Because of periodic road closures in Brevard County due to brush fires, please dial 511 for the most current information on road conditions and alternative routes.

I didn't know the brush fires were that bad in Florida.
