has anyone changed their cruise because of Katrina?

I have. I am now going on the Inspiration instead of the Holiday. Looking forward to the Cayman Islands. Had to pay extra, and drive an extra 4 hours, but I am lucky I am still going. Got one of the last cabin available on the Inspiration.

I did also... I was booked on the Sensation (New Orleans) for 9/19/05 and i am now going out of Jacksonville on the Celebration 9/19/05. I was also planning to stay in Biloxi on Sunday night... But I guess none of that was suppose to work out

I am thrilled to hear you are both OK and are still able to cruise!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

I have to say that Carnival has worked really hard to get me rebooked for that Jacksonville sailing. I am first on a waiting list. I will know as of 3:00pm (CST) today if my trip[ is a go... My other members (one other couple) has already made the change and got there cabin but i am waiting... But still CC has tried hard to get this done!

Yes we were to go on Elation on 10/23 but it was cancelled to cover the Ecstacy itinerary. We tried to re-book on Canival, but they wanted to charge us close to 1000 dollars more than we originall paid because it was considered a new booking. (they would not use our original booking date for pricing) So we told them if we had to pay more, it would be to another company. So we will be on RCCL instead, for get this, 30 cents cheaper than we originally paid Carnival for the same cabin type. They honored our original booking date with Carnival.
