    Tender tickets? on Carnival

    Good morning,

I have been reading some reviews and have been happy, thank goodness. Some of the people mentioned getting tender tickets for getting off the ship if they didn't book an excursion through Carnival.

Does anyone know where and when to get these?

    Thanks,
    Dolores

On the Glory, you went down to the Show Lounge lobby and they passed them out.. It's not a big deal.. They are numbered and they call out the numbers when it's time to board the tenders.. (Kinda like the coloring code on departure day) It does cut down on the mass log jam on the stairs and tender deck...

We leave late morning!! It has usually thinned out by then!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

I booked an excursion outside of the cruiseline. I went online for a ticket and would have to wait for the 10th tender out. With only about 30 minutes till my excursion this was not going to work out. Soooo, I went down to the gangway where everyone was boarding and hoped on the 1st tender out. I know this isn't the most honest thing to do but so many people mentioned doing this on the message boards so I just went ahead and all 6 of us were off the ship with no problem.

You don't have to feel guilty, I'm sure 10-15% of the people in line were doing the same thing...

Question for Cruisemamma: You mentioned going on line for tender tickets - where did you look for tickets. We are booking a private excursion as well - if we could get tender tickets ahead that would be great.

I went to the show lounge where they were giving out the tender tickets. Since I had a private excursion booked outside of the cruiseline - they would be unable to accomade me. I would have been on the 9th tender out and that would not have given me enough time to reach my excursion. When I spoke to one of the Carnival employees they has asked my cabin number and excursion. How could I have gotten out of that?!! Therefore, I walked down to the gangway where everyone on the first tender was and just walked on with everyone else. There were 6 in my group so it really wasn't so hard.
