Does the Pride have a luggage service?

I am not sure what I am talking about here. lol I think it is called Luggage Express. I do not even know how it works or what this does. But I have read about something dealing with your luggage and how they print your boarding pass and take your luggage for you. Does the Pride offer this service?

I think this is what I am talking about Bags From the looks of it they offer service in LA. Has anyone used this company?

If so I have questions. lol

For me and my husband this seems very doable. I do not mind the $30 charge. But exactly how does it work? I understand that you fill out the paper work.

Do you do that prior to leaving your house?
Do you email the forms to the company?
Do you download them and then take them on the ship with you?
Do you give them to someone on the ship?
How do you get your boarding passes?

RCCL offers something that is similar, might be the same thing, but you had to find your luggage and then give it to a rep in the luggage area. Where as this you just sit your luggage (up to 2 bags pp) outside of your door as you normally do and then you do not see it again until you arrive home.

    Selena,
We did this on the Spirit and it was fabulous!! I can't remember what they call it but it is was through Carnival on the ship.

It was $15 a person and 2 bags pp. Your cabin steward will leave forms for you on your bed and you just fill it out and take it to the pursor 2 days before the end of the cruise. Then all you do is pack your bags and put them out the night before. Your boarding passes will be delivered to your cabin on your last day. The next time you see your bags is when you get to your home airport.

***But you can only use this service if you are flying out the same day you get off the ship.

Janice, his sounds perfect for us. I am pretty sure I will do it. Do you pay with your shipboard account?

When I looked up the site that is listed on the dark site, it says they do Carnival ships and ones out of Long Beach. I am assuming the Pride is included. If for some reason you do not see it being offered let me know, please.

My hubby took it to the pursor's and he can't remember if he did cash or shipboard account. But I will check it out and give you all the info when we get back.

Hey Selena, you want to make up a list of things you want me to find out about and either PM or email it to me? That way I can print it out and take it with me so I don't forget anything. Having fun with the Ladies for 7 days, I'll probably forget a lot. LOL

Excellent idea. I will have to find a pad of paper and start a list. lol I know it sounds crazy but some days I have trouble remember how I got home from work. lol Jeff tries to tell me I have way too much on my mind and when I am thinking about a certain thing that I tend to forget what I am doing and what I have done.

LOL I know what you mean, Selena!! I have too many pans in the fire too. I have to put things on a list or I will forget them 5 minutes after someone tells me.

We to used the express luggage on the Spirit cruise and loved it. But as I recall it is only available for flights after 12:30 on the day of disembarkation so if your flight is earlier then that you will have to lug your luggage with you to the airport.
And I think the cost was added to our sign and sail. Oh, and since LA has several airports, I think it is only good for LAX and not Long Beach or Orange County.
