We booked one of the aft, wrap-around balcony suites!!!! If anyone has ever had one of these, I would LOVE to hear your experiences!

    Congrats on the marriage!!

Sorry, We won't be on this cruise although we have sailed the Pride 3 or 4 times in the past. The Pride is one of four ships in the Spirit class and happens to be our favorite size and deck plan of the 8 or 10 different ships we have sailed on!!

If Linda is an understanding wife you should check out the disco at night. It is two levels and the dancing area is on the lower level. Try to get a table under the stairs (wink).

We never booked a suite before but I have been inside the suite you have booked. The steward let me look around on disembarkation day after the previous cruisers left. Since this is your first cruise AND you will be honeymooning let me say you will love cruiseing no matter what cabin you are in but in this case - YOU DID GOOD DUDE!!!

BTW - ANY cruise you take in the future will bring you back to the honeymoon. This is worth remembering when your marriage might need a little "touch up". Right people??

Take that advice from an old married couple shopping for thier 40th anniversary cruise this September. After you see the Disco you will know this old dog ain't dead yet. It will all make sense then.

If you like seafood you will do great on this trip. Carnival does a good job with that (I'm told). Meat and potatoes people like the wife and I don't cruise any cruise line for the chow. But we get along fine. There are enough places to eat and we find plenty.

Dress up and join in on formal nights and don't miss the martini specials!!

Have a great cruise and marriage!! Good luck in the newly wed game too (if you join)

    Bon Voyage

CONGRATS!!! I was married onboard the Carnival Valor in May 2007. I loved cruising before but it is even more special to us now!!!

Are you getting married on the day you set sail or in one of the ports? Any of your family and friends going with you?

As with all weddings, there were a few glitches but I was expecting some of them thanks to advise from previous cruise brides. All in all it was a fabulous way to get married; my friends still talk about how neat and unique it was! Definitely a day and even week to remember

Update: Linda and I have moved our wedding OFF the ship, and into Philadelphia, and funnelled the funds we WERE going to use on the ship-board wedding to the wrap-around balcony deluxe stateroom (with whirlpool bath!)

We are looking forward to our first cruise on Carnival!

Don't let them ring the bell in Philly - I hear it has a big crack in it!!!

And why would newlyweds need a private whirlpool when there are several public ones on the Lido deck??

    Good Luck, Best Wishes
