Thread: I was born on Carnival Paradise cruise ship

my name is Cara Paradise Badua Villalobos, and I was born May 27,2010 in my cabin. My mommy didnt know she was so far along when she had me. Now im a healthy as can be 3 month old baby girl. Still tryin to get my birth cert. they say i need to go to a US embassy.

Interesting situation.

Once the ship is a few miles from the dock in international waters you are not in the United States. I assume the birth took place in Mexican or international waters. While in international waters, you are in technical in the country that the ship is flagged in. Quite often that would be Panama or the Bahamas. I am not sure where the Paradise is flagged.
