Thread: Carnival Liberty Itinerary Change - Hurricane Rina

Because of Hurricane Rina, the Carnival Liberty's itinerary for this week has been changed to Ocho Rios on Wednesday, and Grand Turk on Thursday.
The original plan was for of Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios

What's it suppose to be like in Miami Saturday when they return?

Right now, Rina is forecast to be over western Cuba as a Tropical Storm by Saturday. IF that forecast holds, hopefully, it won't be too bas in Miami on Saturday.

However, this thing has been absolutely crawling. (3 mph forward motion!) If it speeds up soomer or later than expected, or more than expected, the track could possibly change...

How true! Hurricanes can be very fickle!

Here's what NWS Miami said early this morning:

HURRICANE RINA REMAINS OVER THE NORTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA. A
DEGREE OF UNCERTAINTY EXISTS WITH REGARD TO THE LONG TERM
DEVELOPMENT AND TRACK OF THIS SYSTEM. FOR THIS REASON, IT IS
SUGGESTED TO CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS FROM THE
NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.
