Our cruise last October was the Liberty and we loved it. We did the Eastern itinerary. We always ate our breakfast and dinner in the dining room and never hurried to get off of the ship so we would miss the bulk of the cattle call.

Generally, we had about 8 hours in each port which gave us plenty of time to spend time at the beach and shop. I always do alot of research before we go so we have a plan for the most part. I think it helps if you have a plan so you don't feel so rushed in port. It sounds like you missed out on alot of great things because you felt too rushed.

    Hope you book another cruise!

It's a great sign when your husband is checking out future cruises. I always get a thrill when I see my hubby looking at bridge cams or checking out people's cruise photos.

I know what you mean about allergies. Just saw a doctor at the urgent care about my current bout. Sometimes my hay fever kicks up on a cruise so now I make sure I start taking the meds ahead of the cruise.
