Crown Princess 2nd Annual Official CLF Group Cruise in
the Caribbean!
Actually, at time of sailing, my one "teen" will be 20, the other close to 17 When they were much younger I would hook them up online w/other kids on our sailings. Then, on a fairly recent cruise, one of the moms I met on cruisecritic roll call for our cruise, constantly asked my DD to take her DD here, there, and everywhere. My sisters and their families were along for the cruise and my DD just wanted to hang w/her cousins. Coincidentally, this family was assigned our diner table at dinner! We were happy at first, that we sort of knew each other from the roll call board, but my daugher could never leave the dinner table without the other mother requesting she take her DD w/her. Luckily, my family had two tables for 10 (16 of us/4 of the other family). So, after I asked the other mother to let my daughter be, and she STILL tried to use her, I switched tables and my sisters were all to happy to take care of the situation LOL. Now, my kids are NOT interested in "hooking up" before hand. I make no commitments for them. They always meet new friends on board. Just a strange experience I guess, but it was a good lesson!

OK, Robin, on a happier note, I'm really looking forward to this cruise! I'm thinking we may stay on the ship for Grand Cayman as we've been there a few times. For Cozumel, we always love Chankanaab Park for beach and snorkeling, but I'm considering a change to Playa Uvas this time. We've never been to Belize or Roatan. Thinking of doing Tabyana beach in Roatan, zip-lining in Belize possibly. How about you? We have cabins 5106/5108, a balcony cabin connecting to a interior cabin, very front of the ship.

Hi FrannyK...I am interupting your roll call, but I am from the 4/20/08 Legend roll call! We are traveling with two of the kids ages 6 and 15...and our friends and their two kids.
We also have the forward balconies connected to the inside! Just a different deck than you.....What a fabulous set up.
I will be sure to post my thoughts, pictures and review for you!
In Grand Cayman we have a private boat ride to a different part of the island, my dh knows people there... Cozumel we are doing the dune buggies again...Roatan we are spending the day at a private island and Belize we are doing a snorkel with nurse sharks and such. Some of our clan wanted to do ziplining, but were easily pursuaded to snorkel instead...lol

Hi DJGIfford! I cannot believe you have the same cabin set-up as we! It really is an unusual combination of cabins and I think they are only available on Spirit class ships, so we lucked out choosing the Legend I guess. Now, I'm excited to see how you like them. I'm curious about wind on the balcony or movement in the forward cabins. I originally looked into a suite but it was too $$. Then I looked into a balcony for us and an interior across the hall for our teens but my DD felt we would spend more time together if we had adjoining cabins. But I knew they really wouldn't use the balcony like DH and I would so I hated to waste $$ on two balcony cabins. Then someone on the message boards mentioned these particular cabins! I was thrilled I think it will be perfect for us. I picked upper deck for the extended balcony. Two bathrooms w/teens is a Godsend and it will be nice to have our privacy too.
I'm jealous you're leaving so soon We really don't like cruising in the summer but my kids have different vacation breaks now that my DD is in college so we were left w/summer for all to be free to go. Last summer cruise we took had WAY too many children. One of the big reasons we chose the Legend this summer is because of the adult-only pool area which apparently enforces the rules. The itinerary is great too and we've never been to Belize or Roatan. We've never been on a Spirit class ship.
Your excursion plans sound great--can't wait to hear about them! Have a great cruise! Warm up those cabins for us!
