Thread: Holiday to leave Carnival fleet

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I have read on the Maritime Matters website that Holiday is to leave the Carnival fleet and be transferred to Iberocruceros (part of the Carnival group) in November 2009, becoming the GRAND HOLIDAY. Does anyone know more about this?

Carnival has announced that the Carnival Fantasy will replace the Carnival Holiday in Mobile, AL at that time next year.

They have not announced that the Holiday will be transfered to Ibero Cruises, Carnival's Spanish-owned cruise line as the Grand Holiday.

Ken, have they made any announcements on where the Holiday is going after she leaves Mobile? It will be interesting to see where Carnival does end up putting her since she is an older ship.

Char, I missed a web conference they had for travel agents last week, so I don't know if that was announced then. I do know they have not made any press releases on their website about it as yet. However, I did go to Maritime Matters, and they are reporting that Carnival has announced that it will be transfered to Ibero Cruceros as the Grand Holiday in Nov. 2009. Ibero Cruceros is Carnival's Spanish line.
