We hear that the Carnival Glory will homeport in New York, beginning in the Summer of 2010.
Anyone have the scoop on this?

That's correct Sheila, Carnival is increasing capacity in that market in 2010 using the 110,000 ton, 2,974 passenger Carnival Glory. A variety of 4 & 5 day Atlantic Canada voyages will be operated from June to September, followed by five one week Fall Foliage cruises. It will be the first time Carnival has deployed one of it's largest ships to the program.

I have never understood the fascination with seeing leaves die. I think nice, green, live ones are much prettier. And leafless trees look just plain forlorn and depressing to me.
But the interest really is widespread, so I realize I'm in the minority.
It's the different colors of the leaves in the stages of them dying that make it so beautiful, in contrast to the few green leaves around. I loved seeing the Fall Foliage on the way to Mt Etna in Sicily, Italy last year November.
