I think more Carnival folks will see this question here on the Carnival board.

Thanks, we've been on several cruises without our son, but he is coming this time. Haven't really seen any answers for this age group. All have been older teens and younger kids. Know he'll have fun though.

I'm sure he'll have a ball! We have only sailed Carnival 2 times and don't have any young ones, so I didn't notice the activities for them. We have some folks here who can answer, and I'm sure by tomorrow morning you will have a few to read!![]()
Hi evt1! Welcome to the site. There will be plenty for him to do. He can either go off on his own or he can check out Circle C. Despite what he might think (I did too back then), Circle C is a great way for him to meet other kids his age. All events are supervised by Carnival staff. Carnival has a lot of experience with kids his age, so they know what they like and what they don't. If you just look at the list of activities they do, on the link above, you can get an idea of what they do. Also keep in mind that all events are optional, and he only has to go to what he wants to go to. But if you sign him up (usually during embarkation), he'll have access to all of their lounges at any time, even if he doesn't go to any events.
On the other hand, he can just walk around and do his own thing. I enjoyed doing this. There's always food available, and there are plenty of activities he might be interested in on his own (or with you if he wants).
Have fun!![]()

Feel free to PM me if you have questions on how to work your way around the site.
Thanks for the reply. My girl was much, much younger on her Carnival cruises, but she really enjoyed the activities. So I would echo the suggestion of signing your son up. The first night, when there's an orientation meeting for the parents and the kids, would be a great time for him to meet the other teens and maybe some of them will make plans to meet at the pool, etc. the next day. Or return to the teen's room and hang.
Many older kids and their parents come up with a plan to keep each other informed as to locale during the day (post it notes, walkie talkies, etc.).
The biggest thing is to make sure they're kept busy having fun...and they're be too busy to get into trouble.

My children have only been on Disney and RCCL with us but I would expect your child will stay happy and busy.
There is so much to do that she should have a blast. Will there be other children with you? If not strongly encourage your child to take part in the various club activities.
We always take highlighters and get more than one Capers and let the kids chose their activities then we pretty much plan our day around theres. You can do the same with the club or teen activities.
I also take all kinds of fun things for our children to have on the cruise. We take glow straws, light up cups, leis and much more. We do special door signs for just the kids. I also have made "kid business cards" for the kids to hand out to friends they make. I let them help me design their card and then we put their name, email and whatever we feel comfortable with putting on the card. Taking things like this helps a shy child to make friends. You would not believe what a light up cup will do with kids around. I have given lots of my own stuff away to children. But my children have a blast with this stuff.

We did not go on the Glory, BUT we have taken our kids on 2 Carnival Cruises, Each time at least 1 was 13..
There are Teen Clubs, Dances, Karaoke, Games, Video Arcade, Trivia Games, Food, Get togethers, Swim under the stars, Ping Pong, Basketball and MORE for kids to Hang Out, and They have a Blast, Dont worry about them being bored, There is plenty to do. and if all else fails they can go to cabin, and sleep or watch movies....lol
Have a great time
