When do you plan to sail? My Wife and I are thinking of going on the freedom May 8 2010 to the very ports you quote iin your post! Costa Rica will be a first for us and the primary reason that we go on this cruise. We plan to book at the turn of the year (BTW HAPPY NEW YEAR!) At That time I'm gonna post a roll call. Feel free to join me if this is indeed the one you'll be going on and if not I want to see your reveiw if you go before me and likewise
I'll post a reveiw if i should go before you.

I had the pleasure of sailing on the Carnival Freedom in January on it's first cruise after Dry Dock. The ship was retro-fitted with flat screen TV's and the Serenity area for adults.

The ship is beautiful, there are a number of pools; all are on Lido deck, the aft pool & hot tubs are adult only, there is also a pool by the big screen & a water-slide.
You can read my review of the ship for ideas for excursions in Key West &

Grand Cayman. There are plenty of shore excursions available in both ports that you can book outside of Carnival to save money.

Enjoy your cruise. She is a fantastic ship.
