Looking for something "Renie" to add to start off the post. We're coming down the friday before as planes out of Albany NY are too close to make it to the ship without a panic somewhere. We're definitely looking forward to some warm sunshine in April as we're getting frost and light, but not sticking, snow.

That was awesome finding the sword fight smiley!

Have you decided where you're going to stay the night before? sometimes folks try to meet up if they're staying at the same hotel just to say hi and get aquainted.

PORT OF MIAMI-DOWNTOWN
Holiday Inn
340 BISCAYNE BLVD
MIAMI, FL 33132
1-305-3714400

It looks like it is very close to where the ships leave.
We're flying into Fort Lauderdale as it was a much better price.

I've stayed there......excellent location. when you check in ask if you can have a room that is on the upper floors so you can see over the stores across the street and to the ships in port. It's a Holiday Inn, so don't expect a five star hotel, but it is absolutly sufficient for the need. You can walk over and have dinner at Bubba Gumps! We had dinner there in Sept. Great food! There is an authentic Cuban restaurant in that same group of restaurants and stores. It was wonderful as well. It was right on the water.

You sometimes can rent a car for a day from Ft. Laud to drive to Miami for less than trying to get other transportation. Have you looked into that yet? There is a car rental retun at the Hyatt not far from the Holiday Inn (couple blocks). I can find out the car company if you need it.

Hope you have a good weekend!

No had not considered that...to get back to the airport it looks like cruise line has a shuttle. So Ft to hotel and then hotel to ship are the only items that I either don't have or know how to get.
