Thread: Carnival back with bigger, better ship, the Fascination

Carnival Cruise Lines ship Celebration sailed from Jacksonville for the last time in April, creating a lull in cruise ship traffic from the city. On Saturday, that lull ends with the arrival of a larger ship, Carnival's Fascination.

We just got back from this cruise.. And I have to say,, She is a beauty..
But I have to say,, JAX has some work to do on getting the workers up to speed in the terminal. Was a huge cluster getting on.. Then leaving we did not get out of the terminal on debarktion day till after 1:30pm.. I am glad we didnt have a early flight.. Lots of problems. And only 8 customs officials working to clear all the passnagers was horrible.
Plus 2 of the customs lines were being used as training for new employee's.
Other than that, It was really cool to "Miss the Bridge" on our way in and out of the port..
The Port is easy to access by car. And it is only $20 round trip for transfers.
JAX airport is very user friendly. And everyone was really nice and polite..
I would recomend this cruise on the Fascination to anyone..
