    Suites on Fantasy

I have noticed the distinct shortage of Suites on this ship... The Grand Suites on the Riviera deck, and the "suites" on the Verandah deck.

Can anyone provide any details and or pictures on the two classes of suites?

I am planning a 50th Birthday cruise in July 2011, and would like to plan on a suite of some sort, and any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Sure wish I had stayed in one and could comment first hand!

The Fantasy is one of the older ships, the only balconies are with the Suite or Grand Suite categories.

The biggest difference I can see from glancing at a deck plan is that the Grand Suites are mid-ship on Deck 6 (Upper) and have a double convertible sofa, whereas the other Suite category are forward on Deck 11 (Verandah) and only have a single convertible sofa.

On the Carnival website it states the following about their Stateroom Categories:

» Suite -- These extra-large accommodations have a separate sitting area and spacious balcony.» Grand Suite -- The same features as a Suite plus a walk-in closet and whirlpool bath.
