Thread: Roll away beds

We are booked for a 5 day cruise over Easter on Fantasy. It will be myself, my husband and two daughters (ages 12 and 13). When I looked at the cabin number that is on our confirmation from the travel agent it is a room with one upper berth according to the deck plans that I found on line. So I called and was told that they would bring a roll away bed into our cabin.

Has anyone done this? Is there room to get to the bathroom or would we have to climb over someone else as they are sleeping? Do they take it away during the day or is it there for the duration of the cruise?

I have only sailed once before on a RCL and the cabin was very very tiny. I can't imagine where a roll away would even fit.

We don't have a guaranteed room, but an actual cabin number so I don't think it will be changed, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard it is a tight fit. We are in the same situation. they only bring the beds out at night and roll them out of the way during the day.
I figure we will not be in the room that much.
make sure you bring a night light or flash light so no one crashes during a nite time potty break!

we just got back, the roll away is so out of the way!!!
very comfy, nice. I hit my head on the pull down , never had a problem with the roll away and for couples they pull your bed together to make a king size bed, so nice !!!
the bathroom , well we fought over that one, oh well all and all we had a blast!!!!
