Carnival Dream Interiors Inside Public Areas on the Carnival Cruise Lines' Carnival Dream
By Linda Garrison, About.com Guide
The Carnival Dream is Carnival Cruise Lines' largest ship and arguably its most beautiful. The interiors are striking and dramatic, but seem a little less "over the top" than previous ships. Joe Farcus, the interior architect who has worked for Carnival for over 30 years, acknowledged that the overall design decor of "entertainment architecture" he has used on past Carnival ships has evolved into more of a pure design atmosphere.
The Carnival Dream is filled with expensive Murano glass chandeliers, custom made tiles, and wood veneers, giving it an overall expensive look. The Atrium is the largest on any Carnival ship, and the interior includes the Ocean Plaza, a new area for Carnival. The Ocean Plaza is the hub and epicenter that links the two outdoor Lanais. It features day and night entertainment, a dance floor, coffee bar, and full bar service.
I was also really impressed with the three separate children's areas. They look fun and age appropriate.
