LOL One of the guys in our group is a big time fisherman. I enjoy dropping a line now and then, but this guy is pretty hardcore. We made sure to tell him to leave his fishing gear at home.

    Hey there,
Remember the " Pocket Fisherman " from KTEL?
He could pack it in the suitcase and have a great time.
    Maybe he'd hook MOBY DICK!!!!!
Could you imagine the PA announcement on that one?
"Would the guest who has hooked the whale please cut the line as you are slowing down the ship!"
When we get on board I'd like to see the the view from that balcony. The pictures don't do it justice on the DREAM website. Let's hope for calm seas or you'll have to bring the raincoats when you're out on the balcony.
    All the best,

    BRAD

    Popiel's Pocket Fisherman! Excellent idea!

For your viewing pleasure, here is a You Tube video of John Heald touring a mock up of a deck 2 cove balcony. YouTube - John views Carnival Dream and Magic Mock-Ups

You'll be welcome to stop by for a visit to tour it yourself on the cruise.

    Hey Dave,
Thanks for a peak at the YOU TUBE of John in the mock up cabin. Boy .......you guys are going to have a new type of experience for sure. I remember having an ocean view cabin once that was close to water level and I could not believe just how fast these ships go until you are close to that level.
Thanks for the invite to see the real thing in January. I will indeed take you up on that. What type of bait should I bring? PS Happy 4th of July!

For our first two cruises we had ocean view cabins on deck 2. I loved being that close to the water line, but for our third cruise we really wanted a balcony. We snagged an aft corner on deck 7 on the Vision of the Seas. With this cruise we get the best of both. I was looking forward to it before seeing the video. Now I'm GEEKED!

We're balcony snobs now as well. We'll be on the back of the DREAM on deck 7 . Not a corner. Had one of those on the LIBERTY last Sept. It was FANTASTIC
Can't wait to see the deck 5 wrap around promenade. Hot TUBS on the edge of the ship!!!!
It should be great to finally get some feedback from the first few months of passengers once the ship hits the water in Sept. Looks like they are putting together a top notch crew from what I've read. Having John Heald will be a real treat as I've been following the BLOG since day one and John has helped make our last two cruises really memorable.
Remind me to tell you the "Not so Newlywed game" story from our cruise on the LIBERTY.
We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and I pulled a fast one on my DW.

    Talk to you soon.

If you're coming in a day or two early, and looking for things to do and places to eat in the Port Canaveral area, you might be interested in our Port Canaveral forum...

The "sticky" threads at the top of the forum are a good place to start.
