Hurricane Emily - Altered Itineraries (CCL)

(So far) Carnival is reporting that only one ship's itinerary will be adjusted due to Hurricane Emily:

Carnival Destiny (7/10/05): The calls in Barbados (Wed.) and Aruba (Fri.) were cancelled. The ship will visit Antigua and St. Maarten on Thursday and Friday.

Carnival has now altered a number of Itineraries due to Hurricane Emily's trek through the Caraibbean:

    • Sensation: The ship will depart on the 7/16/05 cruise. Some changes to the scheduled itinerary may be required depending on the path of the storm. The itinerary is as follows:
    New Orleans - depart 4:00pm
    “Fun Day” At Sea
    “Fun Day” At Sea
    Cozumel - 7:00am to 6:00pm
    “Fun Day” At Sea
    New Orleans - arrive 8:00am

    • Carnival Conquest: The ship will depart on the 7/17/05 cruise. Some changes to the scheduled itinerary may be required depending on the path of the storm.
    • Ecstasy: The ship will depart on the 7/16/05 cruise. Some changes to the scheduled itinerary may be required depending on the path of the storm. The itinerary is as follows:
    Galveston - depart 4:00pm

    “Fun Day” At Sea

    • Carnival Victory: The ship will depart on the 7/17/05 cruise. We plan operate the Western Caribbean itinerary by calling on the ports of call in reverse sequence.

Thank you canarymoon for the heads up! We travel family of four on the Miracle 7-24 to the Western carribean. Cozumel was my concern(hit that the 29th. Where did you find this information for carnival when I went online I was truely frustrated trying to find info? One more thing my daughter 13yr. just broke her arm(two hrs ago) I was online trying to see if anyone has ever done the cave tubing with X-treme as we need to know just how much exertion and bumping around it is to question the Dr. as to whether she can do it, Hurricanes and broken arms do you believe our luck. the last big vacation we took was six days after 9-11 I'm not sure we are meant to leave Ohio. UHG!
    thanks for any info kim:thumbsdow

Kim, as far as the cast goes, wrap it in plastic and secure it, top and bottom, to keep water out!! If possible to immobilize it for the time spent, should be fine!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

    Kim -
Sorry for taking so long to answer. Been out of town on business for several days, and just got back abbout an hour ago.

The information WAS on www.carnivalcruiseline.com, but no longer is.
The weather link was on the bottom right of the home page. It does not appear if there are no weather systems affection cruise itineraries, departures, or arrivals. Since Emily is no longer a cruise threat, the link is gone.
