Shipboard Credit? - Cruise Line Fans: Cruise Reviews and Chat From Real Cruisers

Perhaps someone who sails with Carnival can answer this one for me.

With RCL, if we book a cruise while on board a cruise, then RCL gives you a credit to your shipboard account on the newly booked cruise. The amount varies by length of cruise booked.

Does Carnival have anything like this?

Have cruised Carnival 3 times and have never heard of them doing this.

Actually the TA that I usually book with has a mailing list. That mailing list sometimes sends out Carnival Sales. If you book a cruise, the sale will be that they give shipboard credit.
But it is only $50 per cabin on a 3 day cruise.
Split between 4 people, and that is only 12.50 per person.

I seem to get e-mails that list the upcoming "one say sales" with Carnival (Cant remember how I got on this e-mail list) but they give good incentives to book such as 2 catagory upgrades and cabin credits.

You can not book cruises on board on Carnival ... in fact the pursers desk does not really have much info on different cruises and such ....

That being said, you can go down to the internet cafe and surf the carnival website without incurring any charges ...

Normally you can find offers on different ways. Depends of the travel agency, they can gives you credits that you can use it to drinks, purchases or tips... You can find offers that says "Book now and receive $50 of credit"...

Is possible that you receives that emails when you got registered on Carnival's website. I receive it too. But sometimes, at the moment you don't have the $$$ to pay it. I think, as a "past-guest" you can receive some offers by email or postal service...
