What changes could Carnival realistically make to improve your cruise experience with them?

Wish Carnival would give us a newer ship out of Charleston and offer longer cruises and better itineraries.

LuLu, is there a bridge the ships have to pass under entering and leaving Charleston? I thought they were sending one to Ft Lauderdale as they will no longer send the Miracle here for the Winter. It (the Miracle)will home port in New York year round, so the Glory, Liberty, Valor and Breeze will home port in Miami, together with the Imagination and Destiny. That's an awful lot of capacity. Ft Lauderdale will keep the Freedom year round.

Ken, it's JAX with the bridge situation. Ships larger than Fascination can't make it under.

Charleston has a different situation. Large ships can dock there. Problem is the cruise port terminal is located in the middle of town and there just aren't enough roads. Traffic on embarkation/disembarkation days can be a nightmare! The new terminal (hopefully will be built) away from town with adequate roads would pretty much solve that problem.

I actually really like Carnival. The service, food and the way Carnival does things appeals to me. Once the stateroom decor is updated on all the ships, I really have no complaints.

I thinlk that having to wait until you have taken 10 cruises to become a VIP is hard. I just reached that milestone myself & it took a long, long time.
Some cruise directors are a little hokey in the theater before the shows. Perhaps they could bring it up a notch.
I know that Carnival appeals to a certain demographic group but it now has the reputation of having too much out of control partying & rowdiness. At least the public at large has that perception of Carnival.
I do love the value of Carnival cruises & wouldn't want to change too much. I recently bought stock in the company when the price came down after the Costa Concordia disaster. Carnival puts out an excellent product. I can't wait to cruise on the Breeze transatlantic from Barcelona in Nov.

I don't know if this is realistic or not but I would love to see longer cruises going out of Port Canaveral. I realize that the cost of fuel is high but having to drive down to Fort Lauderdale ( as I am doing in April for a 14-night cruise on the Constellation) or to Miami (as I did a couple of years ago for a HAL longer cruise) makes me think twice about taking a cruise. I am really tired of the old Nassau & Freeport Ports of Call. We need something new. I've done the 7-night Eastern & Western Caribbean so often that I am tired of that too. One more thing - this isn't Carnival's fault but the cost of parking at the port is really high. Perhaps the port needs to cut the big bonuses to their executives & lower the parking fees. OK, I think I've said enough for today. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to express my thoughts.

I agree with this, on NCL after 1 cruise you get VIP boarding.
