Thumbs down Awful website - can't get cabin information

This is ridiculous: If you click on the word "Amenities" on the Staterooms and Suites page, all you get is information about everything else onboard - dining, nightlife, entertainment, etc. I was looking for and expecting a list of features in each cabin category. I can't find any of that information on the website except mints on pillows (yuck), comfortable beds, and towel animals. I also can't find cabin sizes, floor plans, or pictures. Carnival needs to learn how to make a website easy to navigate.

Cruisedeckplans.com has info on s.f. and info on the cabins for free.

For suites the only amenities are VIP boarding and debarkation (early #), though debarkation isnt listed as a perk. since I already am platinum and get VIP, no perks for suites. Just a bigger cabin.

Carnival doesnt believe in perks or treating one pax better than another.

If you want to know something in particular just ask and Im sure lots of people can answer.

So if I want to sail on Carnival, there is no reason not to book a suite because all I pay for is a bigger room (which I need).

Well, Id say on Fantasy class ships, the cheapest suites, the balcony is so small (30 s.f.) plus many or all of them are obstructed .. I would prefer a unobstructed balcony with a tiny bit larger balcony. If you look on the site above I gave you, you will see it lists all the obstucted suite cabin #'s in the descriptions for the lower suites.

On conquest class ships, Id rather have a 9C aft wrap with the huge wrap around balcony because the cabin also has lots of glass and views both directions over getting a suite. There are only 6 of these per ship though, so you cant always get them unless you book early.

If you need a bigger inside of the cabin, like my sister, for mobility reasons, then, you might want to book the suite anyway .. but I would do my due diligence. A lot of people prefer the 9Cs to the suites. So, its all in what you value.

Now if you are talking RCL, twice I have bumped up to Junior Suites, because anything JS and higher gets double cruise credits.

I wish I had thought out the loyalty perks when I first started to cruise better, instead of booking a little of this and a little of that.

Thanks, have been on Carnival way more than Id like to admit. Some people book the cheaper suites, lets say on Ecstasy which will be going out of Port Canaveral, 220 s.f. cabin with a 30 s.f. balcony and dont realize a 10 X 3 balcony, your knees will be right up against the rail of that obstructed balcony.

you can get the exact same s.f. with a aft extended balcony, 185 s.f. plus 70 s.f. balcony = same s.f. overall and you can walk past the other person on the balcony and you arent looking thru a muster boat.

If you book a suite, I think you get VIP status.

yep, and all that buys you is you get to board after the HC and weddings with the platinum folks like me. Thats all VIP means.

No other perks go with it.

Going back to the original point, I agree that Carnival's website could use some help in becoming user friendly.
