Carnival Glory Earns Two Perfect Health Inspection Scores in One Week

    Posted on 05 July 2011.

For the second consecutive week, the Carnival Glory earned a perfect 100 score on a shipboard health inspection, this time from Health Canada during an inspection in Halifax earlier today. Last week, the ship earned a perfect 100 score during its U.S. Public Health inspection in New York.

The 2,974-passenger vessel received perfect marks on all items that comprise Health Canada’s vessel sanitation program checklist. The unannounced inspections, which are required for any cruise ship with an international itinerary calling at a Canadian port, evaluate vessels in a wide variety of areas, including adherence to proper food handling, preparation and storage procedures, and overall galley cleanliness. Ships’ potable water supplies used in spas and pools are evaluated, as well.

Carnival Glory currently operates four- to seven-day Canada/New England voyages and will continue that program through October then reposition to Miami for a winter schedule of week-long Caribbean sailings.
