With the number people for which they cook a variety of entrees, I've had little or no problem with a steak arriving as ordered (medium, well done, etc). Lobster is great, and I always look forward to Baked Alaska. Imagine making that for a large ship's dining room(s). Ive heard a story about someone asking for the warm chocolate melting cake recipe, but it had ingredient amounts to serve several hundred!

Question What types of sandwiches do they offer at the "Deli"?

Also, I have heard the Rotisserie only serves Bar-B-Q Chicken, Potato Salad and corn on the cob - is that correct?

And finally, at least for now, what types of food do they serve at the Mongolian Wok?

I know, I know, I ask a lot of questions.

Deli sandwiches include pastrami, corned beef, roast beef, turkey and ham. Swiss, American and provolone cheese. Tuna is also available and sandwiches can be served hot from panini grill or cold.
Bread is white, wheat, sub rolls and rye.

Tom, in the small Rotisserie Section I only saw hot side dishes ... half ears of corn on the cob, mac & cheese, mixed vegetables ... no meat at all that I remember. It wasn't what I think of when I think of rotisserie food.

The Mongolian Wok mostly served what looked like some sort of weird meat stew with thin noodles or rice. It didn't have the "eye appeal" that most wok cooked foods do ....

Reggie, on Fascination a couple of weeks ago, there were NO roast beef sandwiches at the Deli. On Fantasy last Thanksgiving they had been my favorite. Do hope roast beef is not being discontinued from the Deli ....

The rotisserie seves chicken that they roast on spits.. I have seen a different one on Elation that still had the chicken but had another meat with it but not the sides and wasnt called rotisserie. I always ask for dark meat, so to me its a favorite as we always are stuck with too much white meat if we buy a whole chicken at home. 3 out of 4 like dark meat... yea I can have all the dark meat I want.

Its called Mongolian BBQ, and they have two rows of veggies to pick from, different noodles, cabbage, green beans and snap peas (I get mostly these) carrrots, broccoli etc.

Then you choose your meat and the three choices rotate thru daily. I only saw shrimp on the first day. It could be chicken, beef, pork, salmon, etc. then lastly you pick your sauce and they list them as 1 chilli, 2, and 3, I get #2, which I like the taste of. The black bean is the 1 chilli and not my favorite.

Smile Thanks for all the responses and I have a few more questions

On some friends that are thinking about going on the Splendor with me - they are all rookies - so I am trying to "tease” them about all the options about the food.

For lunch, besides the Main dinning room, room service, the deli, the Mongolian BBQ; the rotisserie; the grill (which I assume serves hamburgers and hotdogs - anything else); the Pizzeria; someone said there was a burrito bar on the ship? - have I missed anything?

    Thanks for all your help.

Tom, there are always many choices, you surely won't be hungry or bored.

There is also a couple of serving lines for lunch in the buffet, one will be a rotating taste of nations and other regular american lunch choices. The Main dining room will be closed on port days but open on sea days.
