The question is who will get more coverage tomorrow.
The Allure of the Seas due into Port Everglades or the Carnival Splendor due into San Diego?
Interesting to see who the media jumps at.

Great question, Doug. I'm almost nervous about how it all plays out - I don't want to see the Allure lose any fanfare, but feel like these emergency situation are also good to know about, as well.
I think you'll see the industry faithfuls cover the Allure hard and the headline makers go after the Splendor story.
Good to hear from you, as always.

I think the Allure will get more attention
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
It will probably be geographic.
West coasters will probably see more of the Splendor incident.![]()

It is an excellent question.
I think Reggie nailed it. It will be all over the news on the left coast. The Allure will be a big story back east but there probably not as much interest out here.
Another factor will be the timing. If the Splendor does not arrive until late afternoon the news day will already be over on the east coast.

I think with much of the modern media living in the clouds information on both will be readilly available. But the TV and print media will be all over the Splendor story once they gain full access to all the passengers so they can exploit the drama of their live stories as the media tries to convert it into viewer and market share.
