I have been told that if you don't find postcards in your room you can go to the purser's desk and they will give you some free.

Didn't see it lisetd, so I'll add: The last night of the cruise in the dining room they give you a nice "painting" of the ship. I have one from every cruise we have been on with Carnival including one from the Mardi Gras and the Festivale.

Really? last CCL crusie we did was in 2005 on the Carnival Legend and we got one then. Actually, I think my parents got one on the Carnival Miracle in Oct 2007.

It' s more like a placemat with a painting of the ship on it in a exotic locale.

5. If you want to get in on the free liquor tasting- get there early!! The shops were PACKED!
9. I think at ours (I didn't go but heard about it), you got a certificate for a free charm bracelet that you could get at one of the jewelry shops in Grand Cayman.
10. No appetisers at our Captain's reception, but plenty of drinks. I had really yummy margaritas there!!
14. Just be prepared to pay anywhere from $11-15 for that drink of the day! Well worth it though, my son loves his new monkey-head bank!
15. We definitely took advantage of the sushi bar- YUM!
16. Definitely do the spa tour and go back for the drawing later that day! There were some poeple that walked out of there with some nice free services!! And if you're not there, you don't win! There were lots of tickets drawn and thrown to the floor b/c the person wasn't there! And I got 20% off the service I had already booked that morning just for showing up!! :-)
18. We did this several times! Including an extra lobster tail!
I don't think that all of the drinks of the day are that expensive. I did not get the monkey-head because it was so crazy expensive for a drink, and I am just happy with my Carnival glasses! Two of those for the price of one monkey-head!

I don't think they are either but you can still save money by doing this...............buy your drink of the day in a regular glass and then just pick a couple of souvenier glasses on the tables by the pool to take home.

Most people don't know and the bartenders don't tell them that the glass if free to take home.
