Carnival ships

Hello All,
Please can anyone tell me if Carnival ships would be suitable for the more mature cruiser? Are they ships where the tanoy system is constantly blasting calling passengers to BINGO and so on?
Look forward to hearing from you!
Phil

Uhh, I think this belongs in the Carnival forum. I'll move it for ya.

Anyway, the cruise director does make announcements every now and then about upcoming activites, as well as other announcements. I don't think they really make announcements about individual activites, unless it's big like win-a-cruise bingo.

It tends to be that the longer Carnival cruises, 10 days or longer are sailed by more mature cruisers. Maybe because they get more time off from work or what have you...

Do you have a question on a particular ship or itinerary?

Hi Phil.. First, I assume your still breathing, since you posted, so I will tell you that Carnival has about the same age cruisers as Princess and Celebrity.. You'd be very happy there, unless you are expecting to find Fiber-con tabs on your pillow at night, after attending the midnight buffet and 9:00 pm.. I personally love Carnival, in fact our next two are on the Valor.. I'm in my younger 60's, but don't like to fall asleep in a lounge in the evening listening to elevator music.. Also, Carnival's food, service, and entertainment are second to none....

Hello Bombero,
Okay!!, you have convinced me! Carnival sounds fantastic. I will have a go! I have to say that the ships are certainly the prettiest to look at that's for sure!
It's also great to hear from a young 60 yr old who enjoys them so much. Great review.
Many thanks
Phil

I agree with Bombero. I think that Carnival ships are just fine. I think you'll have a great time.

I did find, however, that there were announcements made in every cruise line, RCCL, CCL and Princess.
