    Making Payments on Carnival On-ine

Has anyone booked online and made payments online? I booked online and wish to make payments online. I just played with the system and I am at the point of where you add your credit card but it does not give you and option of putting in an amount. Do you put in your credit card info and then hit submit and another screen comes up for you to add an amount?

I'm pretty sure that you have to pay it in full if you book directly through the cruiseline. But not positive.

Selena, it depends on how far away from sail date you are. Enter your CC info. You'll then notice an option to "pay initial deposit" or "Pay Total". The date I selected is Oct 3rd which is close to sailing, so only the "Pay Total" button is highlighted, the other is not. Had I placed this booking back in say, Feburary, March, or April, for example, I would have had the option of either charging the initial deposit or charging the entire amount.

If I understand the question correctly, Selena is wanting to make monthy payments (or several payments in installments) toward her total price. Is this option available online?

I think a call to Carnival would be in order to determine if there is a way to make partial payments online once the booking deposit has been made.

Making monthly payments online is not an option. She will have to call Carnival and enquire if she can make arrangements to make monthly payments.

We booked our next cruise with Carnival directly. The agent said to call carnival when we wanted to make additional payments and gave us the final date for payment. They will take the cc information we give them and process the payment. We sail in January 2009. Our final payment date is November 30, 2008.

Hey guys I finally found out what was up. I had been trying to use the online system to make a payment. Actually I was playing with the option and was making sure I could do this. My friend Barbara has done this when she booked online.

You can make payments online if you booked online. I did book online. I was having major issues with their website the week I posted this question but finally it all cleared up. What was going on was the site was not giving me the amount field.

To answer my question, when I go to manage my cruise, it comes up payments online. Once you go there it will give you a dollar figure field and various other fields to make a payment. You do not have to pay in full unless your final payment is due.

I have also notice that another cruise I have booked that is thru my PVP I have the same option. I had always thought if booked on phone with Carnival you had to pay by calling. However, for some reason this is not the case in my PVP booked cruise, go figure. But the other cruise that is with a TA it does say you have to see your TA for payments.

I hope this will clear up any misconceptions.

Oh yeah edit to add: I was not necessarly wanting to make monthly payments. I was wanting to make payments when I had a bit extra. But monthly payments are not a bad idea.
