Passengers embarking Aug. 9 should proceed to the cruise terminal in New Orleans as planned, according to the Carnival Web site; a motorcoach will transport them to the Mobile cruise terminal. Carnival is offering complimentary Louis Armstrong International Airport shuttles to and from Mobile to those flying into and out of New Orleans whose cruises are scheduled for Aug. 14, Aug. 18, Aug. 23 and Sept. 1.

Does anyone know the times that the shuttles are running? I have a friend who is leaving next week on the Fantasy, he's been calling Carnival, and the airport and can't seem to get any definite answers. He's also wondering if there is a baggage allowance on the shuttles. He lives here in New Orleans and isn't flying in, so he doesn't have an airline to comply with. He's willing to leave from the airport or the port.
I went on Canrnival's website myself and couldn't find any answers for him.

Hi Kirsten!! I looked all over the Carnival website too and couldn't find a time either. But I would think they have a couple of shuttles leaving at different times at the airport. People that fly in at 10 am shouldn't have to wait until someone else flies in at 2 pm to go to the port. The only info I found at all about the shuttles was this:

TRANSPORTATION TO THE PIER: The piers can be reached by taxi, from hotels, airports, bus terminals and railroad stations. Guests are responsible for identifying their own baggage and ensuring luggage is on the transport carrier. “Fly Aweigh” guests are escorted from the airport to the pier along with their luggage. Guests who do not purchase Carnival’s “Fly Aweigh” program have the option of purchasing airport/pier one-way or round-trip transfers for the days of embarkation and debarkation. Guests are required to make reservations 7 days prior to sailing. Please contact your travel agent for details service is only available during normal operating hours. Guests who do not purchase Carnival’s "Fly Aweigh" program and do not purchase transfers are responsible for all transportation to and from the pier.

NOTE: For Cruise-Only guests, transfers to and from the pier are not included in the cruise fare but may be purchased through Carnival Cruise Lines Reservations at least 7 days prior to sailing, or on board the ship (one-way only) through the Information Desk (excluding Honolulu/Ensenada).

This info is not on Carnival's website. He can call Carnival 7 days prior to sail date to purchase the shuttle transfers to the port or if inside that time period, he'll have to take a taxi to meet the ship.
