It will be interesting to see where it goes...I have driven to PC once- We left FRiday after school and got there Saturday night around midnight- and stayed one night in FL before we left. My DH does not like to drive however! LOL neither do the kids!
A Really Fine Cruise- Join us! Oct. 12-19, 2008
Really Fine Cruise in
We're Here!!!
fantasy 2/05 Star Princess 1/20/07
Carnival Legend- 4/08
We have sailed from PC twice in the recent years (02 & 04) In 02 we were on the Carnival Pride and there was quite a bit of traffic and unhelpful people directing traffic (not police IIRC) and very little signage to direct you where to go. In 04 on the Mariner it was much better, even though the size of the ship was double.
We would like to do the Freedom next year, but the Eastern Itinerary is terrible IMHO and dad won't want to do the West again.

I am not a big fan of Eastern, either. Don't really care for St Martin. St Thomas is OK but not spectacular as far as I'm concerned.
I've found the snorkeling WAY better on the Western itineraries.
That said, I am looking forward to this fall's 2nd Annual Official Group Cruise, as it stops at Grand Turk, which we've never seen. I hear there's some good snorkeling there.
It would be wonderful if the Dream would call at Tortola, Grand Turk, or the DR from here. RCL and Carnival do not.
We have gone out of PC 4 times and have another 2 booked from there. One in 5 days on the Sensation. We did not find the traffic to be horrible. We are always there early, around 10:30. Normally we are there before they will even let you in the terminals. Do I need to be worried about the traffic?

If you go to Grand Turk, one excursion to avoid is Swim with the Stingray (note I said Stingray as in singular, not plural since when we did it there was only one.)
