adult openness on board

Kind of a tricky subject. For some adults the opportunity to share company with others takes on a whole new meaning. I know there are specific cruises set up for such activity, but has anyone seen signs of this activity going on during a regular cruise. Have you ever partaken in this yourself?

If this topic is too wold for you then please do not comment on it. I tried my best to make this a comfortable format for the topic and would prefer that my attempt to be mature will find maturity in it's responses.

I'm sure this happens on every cruise!! I have not done it and I would not have a clue how you find them, but to actually see anything on board I have not!! I guess they all just look friendly!!

This little gray haired granny is going to need some more info on what you are asking. Are you referring to swingers or to same sex openness?

Well, I think if sixgun8 wants answers the question needs to be clear. This genteel southern gal needs for it to be spelled out.

Ah well very good question for clarification there. LOL I actually hadn't thought of clarifying, but it does need it. More of the swinger aspect is what I am referring to. But as for that goes. I am sure the enjoyment of significant others would fall into this catagory.

I guess I am not really asking about Public Display of Affection and all that. I know I was reading a post somewhere where someone was talking that they went on a cruise with another couple that had shared their wedding day and it was a honeymoon for both couples. Apparently the male of one couple and the female of the other couple both got sea sick. So the other two went around the ship enjoying all the amenities. The poster mentioned that they were sure people thought they were swingers, but never came out to say if they were.

Thanks for clearing that up! LOL!

I have not noticed anything that would stand out and shout "this is not my spouse". I have seen same sex groups who seemed to be very friendly within the group, but not to the point of indecency.

Now, I have seen couples who should have gone to their cabin about 5 minutes earlier---if you get my drift. Usually it's late and they think no one is watching. But this little gray haired granny doesn't miss much! Just ask my kids!

You'd be surprised what you can find on a cruise! I stop by and read the bulletin board used by passengers near the Purser's Desk to post information. I've seen all sorts of announcements from the usual bridge players looking for a game, Friends of Bill, singles (both regular and same sex) looking for a party, couples looking for other couples (common interest sometimes varies), etc, etc. I always make it a point to read the board as it often provides amazement and amusement.

So if you're looking for.... whatever, then advertise! And when people go on vacation, especially on a cruise, you never know - you might find something you're looking for!! As the saying goes, "There a million things to do on a cruise!"

LOL I am sooo glad to hear that!! The only time I ever saw anything that really upset me was on the Carnival Valor!! During the day at a bar on deck, I saw a lot of displays that were inappropriate and it really didn't matter what their preferances were!! There were lots of little kids running around, it was near a pool, and also lots of elderly that looked embarrased!! That was certainly several "find yourself a room" moments!!
