Hi everyone. I'm cruising on Carnival's Ecstasy 12/10/2007. I keep looking for someone who has been on her recently. This will be my first Carnival cruise and I really don't know what to expect. I cruised RCCL Rhapsody 11/06 with the kids. LOVED IT!! This time without the kids!!! WOOHOO!!! We are going to Progreso and Cozumel. Anyone??????

I've been on the Elation which is the same class as the Ecstasy. I've also been on the Rhapsody two times. The Elation and the Rhapsody are very similar in size(I think both around 70,000 tons or so). I really liked the Elation. It was my first Carnival cruise since 2003 and I was not disappointed. Imo, Carnival's food is better than RCI's(I've been on RCI 5 times).

I have read wonderful things about the Ecstasy and our favorite thing to do in Cozumel is go to Paradise Beach. Check it out

Paradise Beach Cozumel beaches , Mexico. Cozumel Beach , Cozumel restaurant, Cozumel snorkeling , cozumel bars

It is run by an American named Tom who is very nice.

Thanks everyone, I was starting to think Ecstasy might be a ghost ship since there is very little about the ship since the refurb last year. I read alot about the pink rooms, but that was before they fixed it up. I'm very interested in the CD and the entertainment, things I shouldn't miss, and all the little tricks for the best experience. This is just my second cruise and last time I just did what others did. This time I would like to go knowing what others don't. Anyone?

I am a loyal Carnival Fan! I have sailed 3 times from 3 different ports. This April I will be going out the "home port" from Mobile. I am looking forward to it!

Question: Anybody sail on the Carnival Ship Holiday lately??

Well I've been on 3 cruises, the last two both on Carnival, Celebration & Tropicale, smaller ships. I like the more "upscale" image of some of the other cruise lines but like Carnival & can afford them! I've not been on any of their Spirit Class ships so am really looking forward to the Miracle on 10/30/07... from what I've read sounds wonderful!!!

I have 2 boys also so I know exactly what you are talking about. Just so you know, mine are 17 and 19 and I am still having to do that!! LOL

As for cruising with my chat friends, I have done it the last 3 years. Once in the fall with our spouses and once in the spring with just the Ladies Only.
