Question Washing my Own Clothes on Board? Irons?

On Carnival Ships, Do they have launderettes so you can wash your own clothes? What is the cost? Do they have irons?

    Thumbs up

Yes, they have launderettes on some of the stateroom decks. They also have irons there. The current cost is $2 (us) per load for washers and $2 (us) per load for dryers. They have vending machines for detergent and fabric softener. Current cost is $1. They have irons in the launderettes as well. These are closed while in port.

I am posting their "Top 9 FAQs". They are all on new clean and clearly titled threads except for the tipping one, which there was an old, but long, thread on.

In the Destiny, normally on Thursday, they has a special laundy service. Ships gives you a bag and all the dirty clothes you put inside they wash, dry and fold it for about $15... You fill a form detailing what clothes you put inside. You don't need to pause your vacations to wash your clothes, lets the ship do it for you!

Choco Girl - They have this on others cruiselines too, like Royal Caribbean, but you should see how upset those people get that they don't also have a self-service laundry on board. Royal Caribbean doesn't allow or provide irons either! I found the laundertte on Carnival good for Alaskan Cruises where you get your clothes wet and just need a dryer.

    Irons

I read somewhere that irons are not allowed on the ship, and irons are provided in the laundry. Does anyone know if this is correct? Do you bring a travel iron? Have you ever had it confiscated?
