Thread: conquest itinerary change

I think Carnival's plan was to recapture cruisers who were tired of "the same old" itinerary down to Cozumel. Since Royal Caribbean started rotating between Jamaica/Cozumel/ Cayman and Roatan/ Cozumel/ Progreso,, my guess is that Carnival wanted to offer something different to entice people who did not want to do Western Caribbean.

Since you are a group 6gun, they should work with you to give you the same amenities on a different date. While Carnival has the right to change the itinerary once you are at sea, I believe that you have a right to move if they changed the itinerary this far in advance, especially since it was not because of an upheaval due to weather or politics. I hope your TA is taking care of you, since that's part of the job. Mine would be on the phone right now, trying to track down Mickey Arison.

Zydeco, I don't think this has anything to do with Houston vs. Galveston.

yeah she was working with us very closely. We tossed it around and we decided to stick with the same date and new Itinerary. It was about 30-70 as for liking the new Itin, with the new in favor. But noone is excited about 2 bahama stops, especially freeport.

But this group is risilent and we plan to have so much fun the ports may be secondary anyway.

It sounds like you are with a good group!! I find that sometimes even blah ports can be fun with a good group, so you are off to a good start.
