    recently back from the Conquest

WOW, our first cruise is over and it went by too quickly. We had a blast. We had a scare about not even making the cruise. Thanks to a miserable airline that rhymes with African Airlines. They darn near lost our luggage, cancelled our flight booked us on another airline that told us no way were they going to let us on board. I will send out Props to Southwest Airlines for rescueing us and getting us to Houston in plenty of time to run across town, pick up our luggage(partially) from the other airport and then to the ship!!! We could not have asked for better treatment from Carnival! From the embarkation to the debarkation we had a wonderful experience!! Simply outstanding. The best food, even though usually overcooked, Just unbeleivable.

Wow, what a way to start a first cruise. Glad you made it and enjoyed your Carnival cruise. I've sailed Carnival twice and loved both cruises.

How was the food? The food was very very good, if not amazing. Usually it was slightly overcooked, Duck should be med rare, but even overcooked it was great. Flavor was on point. Everyone goes gaga over the chocolate melting cake and it was nice, but not my thing. The cappucino pie was my favorite. dessert.
What was your favorite thing to eat? I'd have to say my favorites were the Prime Rib. The cappucino pie. The El Chevre Pizza(goat cheese). The Sushi bar was awesome. Smoked Salmon appetizer was WOW!!!
What lounge did you like the best? we didn't do a lot of the lounge stuff. We were in Blues for a bit which was ok. The Degas is NICE. My wife liked the decor in Vincents.
How were the shows? The shows were pretty good. All new cast so I am sure they were still kinda feeling each other out and learning the cues from each other. The Male singer needed to project more. He was overpowered by the orchestra. The hypnosis show was very funny.
What did you do in port?Jamaica, Hot spot shuttle and shopping. We cheated ourselves out of the real jamaica and will fix that next time. Grand Cayman, Capt Marvins Stingray tour. EXCELLENT Couldn't ask for better hosts. Cozumel, Race Fantastique, which was a blast! So fun and exciting. We came in second by a second. It was a footrace at the end. Then tequila tasting and shopping.
    Did you Karaoke? Um NO
How was your waiter and room steward? We switched seating after the second night(missing the sunsets) and wished we wouldn't have. Denysa was awesome. Eduardo was great. Iryl was our Room Steward and was tremendous. We left her little gifts every day when we left the room. She was very appreciative. She was so sweet. We couldn't have asked for better.
All in all, It was the time of our lives

Welcome home!! Flying sucks!! We got you hooked!! Glad you loved it!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
