we will be in Aruba, dominica & St. Thomas. Do any of these places have submarine trips? (we have someone with sinus issues and they can't dive). How do they compare ? Are they worth the money?

We've only been on the Atlantis sub in Cozumel. They have one in St. Thomas I believe. We thought it was great. We're not into scuba diving but I would say that this seemed like the next best thing. I give it two thumbs up!![]()

Taylor, we went on the Atlantis submarine in Aruba. I think you would see more in either St.Thomas or Cozumel, but we had a great time regardless. We always felt safe, and neither of us felt any major pressure difference. If you can fly, you can do this. I was amazed that when we got to the submarine, there was a pregnant woman coming up!!!! She looked fine, but I question whether I would do that as far along as she looked.

Thanks for your response. Just wondering why you feel St. Thomas might be better than Aruba. The Aruba dive is said to be aprox: 150 " while the St. Thomas dive is 80 feet.![]()
I did some snorkeling both at Cozumel and St. thomas, and the coral reefs are teeming with fish there. Aruba's reefs are not as lively. They have sunk a ship to encourage coral and fish to move nearby the sub's path, but it will be a while. Most of the things to see for snorkeling in the ABC islands are at Bonaire which is well to the east of Aruba.
Check out some snorkeling books and see what they say. If the areas used by the subs in St. Thomas asnd Cozumel are away from the reefs, they could all be about the same.

We did the Submarine ride in Maui. I thought it might be a little corny, and I almost didn't book it...but it seemed like a good way to see the reefs and fish since we weren't going diving. I was pleasantly surprised, and really enjoyed it!
The submarine is not very big, but comfortable inside with long bench seats. Here we are waving to the submarine crew...

It was fun to watch how deep we were going...

We saw lots of beautiful fish and reefs. This is not the best photo of either, but it gives you an idea.
