These Caribbean storms are sure making my upcoming cruise planning difficult. Now there is another tropical depression "Gamma" headed directly at Roatan and Belieze. It may catch Cozumel too. I've still got 3 1/2 weeks to go so maybe this will be the last storm of the season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just hope it doesn't get enough strength to become a hurricane.
Actually it isn't called Gamma yet since it isn't a hurricane but that is the name next in line. Let's hope it doesn't become "GAMMA"
Looks like "GAMMA" has got it's act together again and will become a tropical storm. They haven't said it will be a hurricane yet. It is to make a 90 degree turn and head for the Western Florida coast, probably just North of Naples in a few days. Check it's progress at: www.nhc.noaa.gov
Just so it's gone by the 2nd week of December!!!! AND none to follow it.
They say it's coming to South Florida in Wilma's path.:thumbsdow(not my first choice for a finger here)

Gamma is just foder for the news/weather anchors. If we weren't still in the season for "naming" storms, this would be a non-event. How often does a regular rain storm that blows thru any area with 40 mph winds get press?? (Like some of the no'easters that slam the New England coasts with winds far higher than 40 mph).
I say cruise on and don't give a thought to Gamma unless she becomes a hurricane...which is not currently in the predictions.

Our Week in Paradise ~ Morritt's Tortuga Club on Grand Cayman in
Looks like"GAMMA" is doing a 360 and headed back whence it came. Florida is in the clear now. Yesterday it looked like Cuba was the target but now it has been spared also. You can check the progress on the Hurricane Center link in my earlier post.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
