Question Looking for Highly Recommended tour guides for the following...

We are looking into private tours for:
San Juan
St. Maarten
St. John's Antigua
Nassau

We picked up the tip from Mike about St. Thomas....
Any outstanding private tour guides out there who will take you where you want to go for the day?

Beth

We loved Godfrey in St. Thomas....same tour guide as Mike and Bonnie had.

Check out Joyce Prince in St. Maarten....she's FAB! Here's the thread for her which includes her email address and her picture:

Our friends are booked with http://lawrenceofantigua.com/ for their island tour in Antigua. He was highly recommended over on another board.

When we were in Nassau, we got off the ship and there were lots of guides at the end of the pier. We found a nice man who took us on a tour of that part of the island, and then took us to Atlantis for $25 pp. I don't have his name, but there are lots of guides at the end of the pier.

In San Juan you can do a walking tour on your own very easily. There is a kiosk by the piers in Old San Juan and they have info there. You can also find a walking tour online at Frommers. There is a good one in the 6th edition of their Caribbean book. You can either walk up to El Morro and then back down, or take a taxi up and walk back down through Old San Juan. It is a little taste of Europe in the US.

Have a great cruise!

Smile St.Johns, ANTIGUA

beth 'n rod .... Another option in ANTIGUA is using a taxi driver!

(We use to travel there on business ... well, someone had to do it. )

Antigua has some of the world's nicest taxi drivers. Careful, they will try to adopt you!

Antigua Tour Operator - Highly reccommended

I found out about a great tour operator in Antigua called Gordon. I booked with him this past July and we had a really nice time. Gordon is a really nice guy, freindly and very knowledgable. His website has some really nice pics. You can check him out at Antigua Beach Runner Xcursions - This is the Life - Welcome Visitors

Bob, thanks for the link.
Wish I had know about this before we were in Antigua. It was the least favorite of our stops as we didn't have a clue what to do there all day. Next time

Victor (user name tour46) is CLF's 'San Juan Answer Man' and is a tour guide there!

And, as a bonus, you can talk to him here on CLF ahead of time about San Juan and what he can show you there.
