I'd have to agree with LuLu, Grand Cayman. I was there by myself for a couple days and felt completely safe walking around on my own.
Judy It's hard to SOAR with Eagles, if you Fly with Turkeys!

Curtis, what happened? Was the weather bad because I remember you and your dad had planned to get off there?
I was with my grandparents, and they didn't feel safe getting off.

Agree with Grand Cayman, also felt quite safe on St. Thomas and St. Martin. I guess the only port where I didn't feel totally safe was Jamaica.

Aruba. It's clean and modern, so I feel at home.

    Also, things change.

There was a time when we felt very safe in Antigua ... but no longer do.

Last year we felt much safer in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, than ever before.

I haven't been to an island where I didn't feel safe. In St. Thomas and St. John, I was more worried about tourists driving, since they drive on the Left side with Left hand drive cars!

I went walking on my own in Aruba, St. Thomas and St. Maarten, with no problems. I walked with others in St. John and Curacao, but would have been comfortable there on my own as well.

It's been years since we have been to Cozumel and while I was completely comfortable then, I would be more guarded now, until I was there for a bit to see how things were.
