Which Caribbean ports are your favorite and why?

I would love to have everyone's opinion for future cruising. What Caribbean port's are your favorite and why? The cruise we have planned now is going to places we have never been to before. We are going to Colon Panama, Puerto Limon Costa Rica and Cartegena Colombia. Can anyone offer some good excursions for these port's? We are also going to Cozumel and Grand Cayman too, but we have already been to these ports.

Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Not on your list, but I believe I like St Thomas the best so far. So much to do there! Oh darn, I also like St Maarten.
We've been to Puerto Limon and had an outing that took all day. Went to the rainforest and did a trip through the tree tops. It was pretty but not exciting and I wouldn't recommend it either.

    our favorites....

Puerto Limon - we had the BEST time!!! Did a private excursion with Charlie (OkeyDokeyTours). He took us where we anted and with as much or little time @ each stop. He first stopped at local market to buy us water and beer for the daytrip. Saw the locals residence, held a sloth, did Banana Factory tour, he bought us a different kind of banana from roadside vendor, had his own guide (very knowledgable) for the forest canal trip, ate at a local restaurant on the beach where he bought us a snack to try. It lasted about 4 1/2 hrs.
Cartagena - just did thid last March. Did alot of online research and came to conclusion to go with the ship excursion of Daytrip that lasted 5 hrs. Was well worth it! Tour the Fort, shop at Artisian Market, then bus let us out at Old Town and the Guide did a walking tour lasting 2 hrs (lots to see), then back on bus for a shopping trip at strip mall. On the walking tour there were police on bikes at moct intersections to keep an eye on the vendors and beggars for the tourist wellbeing.
Colon - this was a quick 3 hr stop which doesn't give you much time! The line ups are long to get back on the ship and if your in with even just one other ship...well...good luck! We got off, did a quick-pace shop and then got in line to get back on ship. We're sble to browse some booths as we moved along in line. The costumed ppl and the tribals are worth the quick stop though.
I hope this helps you....happy sailing!!
