I know La Porte! We're in Granger, just East of South Bend. We transferred here 10 years ago. Before that we were in Columbus Ohio for 13 years, but my husband and I are both born and raised in Brooklyn, New Yorkers! Talk about a culture shock!

I escape to Chicago when I can...just for the noise and traffic!!

Before I moved to Florida 25 years ago, I lived in Osceola on the St. Joe river just 1 mile east of Penn High School!! When we first moved to the area we lived in Edwardsburg--so we passed through Granger many times!! Lived in that area 15 years. My sister lives in Lakeville. We spent a lot of time in Chicago also!!

I guess we'll still be tendering in Cozumel?? I think I read that they are just starting on the docks... we haven't been in Cozumel since 2 days before they were hit by Hurricane Ivan! I know it was a horrible thing!!

In Grand Cayman they were also preparing and said they hide in the caves when there are Hurricanes! That would sure be a safe spot!! As long as they were high enough to not get the surge!!

BTW, where in Florida are you? My dh family is in the Margate, Coral Springs and Miami area.

Yes, you'll tender in both those places. The only place we didn't tender was in Jamaica. The pier in Cozumel is still in ruins but they're working on it.

Thanks! I love the ferry type tender they use in Grand Cayman!! I've read that they are using larger boats to tender in Cozumel than the ships tenders, are they similiar to the ferry used in Grand Cayman?

much larger, they held about 300 as opposed to the 100 into Grand Cayman!
