Your Top 3 Caribbean Ports and your favorite thing to do in them!

The question has come up from someone who hasn't sailed the Caribbean before, what are the best ports to go to. So lets try and compare notes.

Ours would be: 1)Tortola for the Baths at Virgin Gorda

    2) Curacao beautiful shopping area to wander and people watch - private beach (low cost) by the dive tank.

    3) St. Maarten - Orient Beach - People watching in Phillipsburg

    Good topic

    1. San Juan (I grew up there). Walking around Old San Juan.

    2. St. Maarten-perfect day is the America's Cup in the morning, and Orient Beach in the afternoon.

    3. Tortola and the Baths.

Before the hurricane, Chankanaab Park in Cozumel was a contender.

    1) Believe it or not. St. Thomas - at the bar at the top of Paradise Point...do nothing but drink Bushwackers and eat conch fritters. ALL DAY.

    2) St. Maarten -= just walk, shop, gamble and eat in Philipsburg

    3) Antigua....any beach, any where.....do nothing.

    1) Barbados - Silver Moon Catamaran tour - fabulous!

    2) St. Thomas - lazy day at Coki Beach talking with the locals

    3) Bermuda (is that Caribbean?) - shopping in Hamilton on Front Street
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the plan of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body totally worn out, screaming "WOOHOO what a ride!"
