I haven't been to many Caribbean ports but so far my favorite are:

Chankanaab Park in Cozumel for the Royal Dolphin Swim

Belize for snorkeling

Bermuda for beaching at Horseshoe Bay

To wvufan:
We're going to St. Maarten and want to do both things you mentioned - America's Cup and Orient Beach. We'll be there from 8:00 - 3:00. Do you think that's enough time for both?
How did you get from one to another and how long did it take?

St. Maarten - America's Cup

St. Thomas - Megans Bay - Water is excellent & sand under foot is so soft

Dominica - Waterfalls

I think my favorite Caribbean port is the one I am at at the present!

I think my all time favorite is:

St Thomas: love jewelry, beaches, shopping

Aruba/Curacao: mostly just enjoy bumming around the towns there and people watching and shopping. No tours done on Curacao, snorkeling and island tours on Aruba

Isla Margarita: loved the beautiful sand beaches right by the ship, spent a lazy day there,very relaxing without any bus rides anywhere, also had shopping area for souvineers.

St Lucia: I think it is the most picturesque port of all I've been to...the cove where the ships dock, then a smaller cove where the small boats and sailboats dock, and then overlooking those the ocean beyond. Especially pretty from the top of the hills on the island. The color of the water is beautiful, just looking at a picture of it now. Am going back forthe second time in Jan and hope to tour the Pitons this trip.

1. Dominica--snorkeling over the underground volcano with all the warm bubbles coming up!!!!!

Absolutely the best!!!!! (they also have beautiful waterfalls where you can swim, incredible!!)

2. St. Maarten--America's Cup and Orient Beach!!

3. St. Thomas--Champagne Catamaran to St. John and shopping (got a great white skirt, last trip!!)
