Question Is Cancun a Port-of-Call for Mass Market Cruise Lines?

Do any of the Mass Market Cruise Lines have CANCUN as a port of call?

I am not aware of any major cruise line that stops there.
Is it because there is no pier???

No they DON'T! Thanks for a confirmation on this!

Guess ... my point is .... CANCUN does NOT need an individual listing here! For cruisers ... it's just an excursion from Cozumel....

I believe the nearest port is actually Calica... according to this little blurb I found on Vacations to go, it is, anyway:

This former fishing village on the Yucatan Peninsula has grown into one of Mexico's most popular Caribbean vacation destinations, where beautiful white-sand beaches fringe turquoise waters. The resort also is known for its lively nightlife. Many cruise passengers opt for a shore excursion to ancient Mayan ruins or to Xcaret nature park, where you can swim in the underground rivers of this 250-acre preserve. Ships bound for Cancun typically call at Calica, the nearest port.

I just read on another site, that from Playa del Carmen, you can get a 'city tour' of Cancun.

I am going to ask Paul to add merging this forum with that of Calica or Cozumel on his growing To Do list.

That would be a very good thing ... in my opinion.

Well, that list is getting longer and longer, and this is not a critical issue, so it won't rise to the top immediately, but it IS on the list.
