I called my cruise consultant at HAL today and she told me about this great new hotel package being offered by HAL right now. It's $100 per person for TWO nights at the Fairmont Waterfront including TRANSPORT FROM the airport! I grabbed it, and can always cancel (she told me for my cruise that I would have to cancel by the end of February).

Anyway, just thought I'd pass this along in case anybody else is looking for a place to stay pre-cruise in Vancouver.
