yep, the bagpipers come out and meet every ship. very neat. be sure to be on the outside decks so you can hear and see them

did you rent a car to get to Peggy's Cove or take a tour?

We took the Famous Peggy's Cove Fishing Village tour through the ship. They did a pretty good job.

I know that there are some independent tour operators that do the tour, but since the area isn't a hugely popular tour destination, I decided it would be easier to go with the ship rather than try to take an idependent tour.

You can rent a car. There is only one highway that goes down there and it is very scenic. However, I didn't look into that option so I don't know much about it.

Halifax is another great port.

We also did the ship's tour to go out to Peggy's Cove - also did the lobster lunch.

Love walking the boardwalk!!

And those bag pipe guys are terrific.
